Data Foundations TBBS/TDBS Add-on Product Catalog
-------------------------------------------------
- SHAREWARE REVIEWS!
This is a must-have little review program for shareware. Let your users
review and rate the shareware that is available. If you have thousands
or hundreds of thousands of files online, this is a good way to point
users towards the gems that are available. Just $14.95! Source code
is available for $50.
- CHAT EUCHRE!!!!!!!!!
Chat Euchre will allow up to 4 people to play Euchre together! They can
chat while they are playing. The computer can pick up any of the hands,
so it can be played alone, with friends, or with any combination of
computer-played hands and human-played hands. This is likely to be a
popular game, and since Euchre allows only 4 people to play, we have
programmed it to have 6 TABLES. The user chooses a table first, and he
can see or even talk to who is sitting at any one table! He can also
choose the chair he would like. $49.95.
- Ultrachat Tic-Tac-Toe. Play TIC-TAC-TOE out of Ultrachat!
$19.95.
- Spin To Win
Here is brand new one made of the popular T.V. show Wheel of Fortune
concept.....spin the spinner.....pick a letter get some cash in the pool
and guess the puzzle correctly and win the money.....and if you can get
three puzzles correct in a row.....you go to the Bonus Round...where you
pick 5 consonants and 1 vowel...and have a certain amount of time according
to the size of the puzzle to guess it correctly....also offers everyone the
ability to add puzzles but they half to be screened by a sysop or someone
given the access thru the program to do so....This is a must have if your
users like puzzle type games where they use their kniwledge to win...Its
a popular one on our board.....$ 49.95
- S-Words
Form words with letters given to you in the form of an S.... You can
recall any discarded letters back and use them when needed. Try it!
It's a brain teaser..... $29.95.
- Internet Phone Book! I wrote this program because the other internet
phone books didn't do what I want. I wanted lists of cool stuff
you can do on the internet, based on categories. The program
comes with these categories:
FTP Sites
MUDs
IRC chat servers
Famous People Internet Addresses
Users can browse, edit, and add entries (controlled by priveledge
level). And you can add your own categories! $29.95.
- IMAIL. I didn't want to pay $299.95 for PIMP, so I wrote IMAIL.
Using TBBS 2.3's ability to send messages out of a TDBS program,
I was able to IMPORT internet E-mail directly into the message base.
Then, using an offline clipper .EXE program, I was able to SCAN OUT
internet messages. To do the dialing, the shareware WAFFLE program
is used. Between this and PCBmsg (see below) which supports unlimited
internet newsgroups and Fidonet areas, you don't need PIMP! $49.95.
- DragonStalker
A great menu-driven dungeon game that will be a great hit to users
of your board. It's a smash here, and I'm sure it will be for you
also. There is an online challenge mode to challenge other players
online playing the game. When you finally defeat the dragon at the
end you think you have to start again and try and beat 9 more times...
NO WAY....in this game the player becomes the Dragon and they begin
their own rampage on the other players!! $89.95
- GENERIC DATABASE EDITOR. Have you ever wanted to just browse a database,
but by going over the network with your .EXE database editor, you
ended up trashing the database because someone was accessing it online
also? Or maybe you couldn't access the database at ALL due to DOS
SHARE. Or, perhaps you would like to browse databases remotely, or
give particular users access to randomly browse and edit certain
databases. GENERIC DATABASE EDITOR is the solution! You can open
any database plus up to 5 index files. You can to to the Top of
File, Bottom of file, Modify records, Delete records, Add records,
and Search. This is a .TPG program! $49.95.
- RADIO CALLERS. Based on an idea by George Matyaszek of Chicago Syslink
BBS, and programmed to his specs. It's a contest like they have on
radio stations, where, say, the 5th caller wins a prize! In this game,
you can set up various contests. For example, you can set it up so
that the 10th caller between 9PM and Midnight gets 1 point. At the
end of the month, the person with the most points wins! A good way
to generate interest in your board. $24.95.
- GATEWAY. Gateway is a simple database that lets you CONTROL ACCESS
to certain features of your board. It can be a GATEWAY to a whole
'nother area on your board. In GATEWAY, you have a simple .DBF file
that contains a list of userids. If a users hits the key to access
the gateway, the program checks the list of authorized users. If
not there, the program exits as if nothing had happened. If the userid
is there, the program ports them to a new menu. This program ALSO
ALLOWS AN ADDITIONAL PASSWORD BY USERID! I use this for co-sysop
access to SYSOM and phone validations, as an extra security measure.
$19.95.
- Lemonade Stand IN THE HOOD
You set up your lemonade stand, buy lemonade, and try to sell your
wares! The only difference: your lemonade stand is running in
"the Hood"! In this game, 3 factors affect how much lemonade you can
sell: (1) Temperature (2) chance of rain, and (3) Gang activity!
Better yet, it has flexible EVENTS that can happen. Users (if you wish)
can add their own events, such as drive-by shootings (causing loss of
lemonade and glasses as well), pay-offs to federal health inspectors,
Community Development grants for your lemonade stand, and so on. It's a
riot, and at only $29.95 is is a MUST for your BBS!
- Time Line Trivia. A CUTE game that user users will love. Guess the
year various trivia questions have happened! When did Nixon resign
the white house? (I got that one!). Users can add their own questions.
A great $19.95 addition to your board! $19.95.
- AUTOLETTER. Send letters to your users based on the following
parameters: priv level range, A1, A2, and A3 flags, and number
of calls. I use number of calls as my main parameter. For example,
on the third call, my users get a letter trying to sell them the
full internet access we offer. On their first call, they get a letter
with a file-attached tutorial they can download! With this program,
you don't end up bombarding users with 400 messages on their first
call! $29.95.
- PCBmsg: The ONLINE message reader/browser/writer for ONLINE access
to those external PCboard-format message bases used by QSO! If you
have PLANET CONNECT, PCBmsg is mandatory! Advantages:
- NO message base limit. Limited only by disk space. QSO itself
has a limit of about 1500 message bases, but that will be fixed.
- NO realistic limit on the number of messages! Goodbye 60,000
limit!
- Automatic offline reader support via QSO!
- All your eggs are NOT in one basket. If that stray byte from hell
hits, say, the Star Trek echo, hey, you lose the Star Trek Echo!
You DON'T lose 249 other Fido echoes, Usenet newsgroups, private
mail, file attaches, EVERYTHING!
- Similar to TMM (The Message Manager), but again, each message base
is a seperate file, and can be used with QSO.
- Use PCBmsg's built in scanner/tosser/packer, or use your own
utilities.
- Access all your message bases with PCBmsg's built-in message menu,
or access them individually from any SDL menu.
- Includes .BAG and .PKT file TOSSERS and SCANNERS!
- Includes utilties such as UNZIPNXT, PASSBAG, KILLBAG, PASSPKT,
TRIES, SHOWPCB, etc etc etc.
- Includes ability to exclude users from certain message areas
based on priv level or flags
PCBmsg is $129.95. TDBS 1.2 required.
DEMO: PCBMSG11.ZIP. Fido Magic name: PCBMSG11
- REMOTE SYSOP
This is used to give limited DOS access to certain co-sysops without
giving them complete access via SYSOM. It gives them the ability to
raw upload and raw download files, rename files, delete files, copy files,
and do a directory listing (similar to SYSOM). But UNLIKE sysom:
1. It has an extra password required to get into the program.
2. It LOGS all users that have accessed the program.
3. You can restrict co-sysops to certain directories and certain
files.
$19.95. There is no demo available right now.
- RIP CONTROL: The RIP control program will detect if your users have RIP
graphics capabilities as well as allowing you to set up any new icons
for your BBS to be downloaded by your users AUTOMATICALLY if they don't
have them!!! $39.95
- CHAT CHESS!!! Users can PLAY CHESS WHILE CHATTING!!!
Multiple games can be going on at once in there. Users
can even take on multiple players at the same time. People can also
watch the games taking place. Everyone can chat while it's all going on.
This is the premier chess game available for any BBS - it blows away
any other TDBS chess game and any other chess door for other BBS systems -
you can give your users a BETTER alternative than the other BBS systems
in your area! Upcoming games are Chat Poker, Chat Checkers, Chat Blackjack,
and Chat Euchre. Chat Chess will eventually be available in a full RIPscrip
version. $89.95.
- CRAPS! A really stupid game that your users will love. Roll the
dice, don't crap out! $19.95.
- CHAT POKER. Play REAL poker, just like you were sitting around a table
with friends. Five card draw, 7-card stud, 5-card stud, Acey-Duecy,
Midnight Baseball. Wildcards! This is FUN. Chat Poker supports RIPscrip
graphics!!! $89.95. DEMO: CHATPOKD.ZIP. FIDO MAGIC NAME: CHATPOKD.
- GRAFFITI WALL. Similar to the "graffiti wall" features of many BBS
systems. Written in TDBS for a professional look and feel. Can be
set up as a menu entry, or to ask this question on logoff: "Do you want
to add a quote to The Wall?" This is a very slick program that adds
a nice look to your BBS. Response on my BBS was great: the users loved
it! This is MUCH better than a Q&A graffiti wall - it supports full
ANSI, stores quotes in REVERSE order, and allows users to Paint on the
Wall in different colors! A must have for every TBBS system.
Requires TDBS. Also RIP compatible. $29.95.
DEMO (RIP VERSION): GRAFFITD.ZIP. FIDO MAGIC NAME (RIP DEMO): GRAFFITD.
- MOVIE DATABASE. This is the BEST movie database out there! Let your
users be the movie critics. Comes with a base file of about 5000
movies. TBBS sysops can share movie info: comes with an import/export
feature complete with duplicate detection. Keeps track of how many
reviews each user has entered so you can have a TOP BBS MOVIE CRITIC.
This gives users more incentive to input movie reviews (they love to
be on top of the score list). $39.95.
- PURITY TEST. This ADULT's ONLY testing system will give your users the
ability to see just exactly how 'Pure' they are or are not. This is one
of the biggest hits on our BBS, and we're sure it would be with your
users, too! This is a TDBS implementation of the classic public domain
test from the boys at MIT. $29.95.
- TEXT READER. This is yet another "improved type 1" program.
This program is GREAT - supports RIP (a "RIP READER"), you can give
it a DOS filespec for text files that can be displayed (IE
info*.txt), has PAGE-UP and PAGE-DOWN features, the ability to SEARCH
text files. It's great. You'll see it as the opening newsletter
on my board. $29.95.
- TOURIST SYSTEM. Cute little system allows you to set up various
businesses. Brings up a point-and-shoot menu for users to select
which establishment they like. This then brings them to any TBBS
menu entry that you wish to set up for that business, if any
(a menu, a type 1 display of a file, etc). $29.95.
- SPORTS PICKS! Run a simulated "football pool" on your BBS. Just like
your office football pool (although no money is involved). Users can
make their picks every week, guessing who will win. Point spreads
can also be used. Program keeps track of user statistics over the
entire season, so you can have an overall season winner. Requires
TDBS. $59.95.
- QUESTIONS, QUIZZES, AND CONTROVERSY! Let your users vote for president!
Show how they think about the controversial issues of the day! Users can
add their OWN questionnaires and quizzes! Results screen shows
percentages for each question. Quiz results shows users in reverse order
by score. Nice menu structure. This is like the Voting Booth doors found
on other BBS systems. Requires TDBS. $49.95.
- WHAT'S HAPPENING DATABASE. Lets your users maintain a database of
happenings in the local area: concerts, bands, sports events, etc.
A nice little database that adds more features to your BBS.
Requires TDBS. $15.00.
- LOCAL BBS DATABASE. Let your users maintain the list of local BBS
systems in your area. Very easy to use. Concentrates on the LOCAL
area, not a national BBS list, and therefore is much easier to use
than some of the other, overly elaborate BBS databases. This database
if PERFECT if you want to keep track of the BBS systems in your local
area. Requires TDBS. $19.95.
- SUBOP MANAGEMENT PROGRAM. Allows you to define users as sub-ops for
various file areas. Gives them access to a FAR file to move, delete,
and make visible the files. Keeps track of number of times they used
the management program, number of days, and last date used.
Requires TDBS. $29.95.
- ZIP-CODE DATABASE. A database of all Zip codes in the USA, with a
program to search by zip code, city, or state. $19.95.
- ANSI-SCREEN GENERATOR FOR TDBS. If you are a TDBS programmer, you
can use this ANSI screen utility. It takes any screen you create with
TheDraw or other ANSI editor, and creates a .PRG file out of it that
can be compiled in with your application! An EASY way to put multi-
colored ANSI screens into your programs! $29.95.
- DUPLICATE USER FINDER. Finds users with duplicate phone numbers,
addresses, "real names" (I use COUNTRY to store "real name"), or
passwords. Prints a nice report including the record number so you
can quickly GO TO the record in ULEDIT or SYSOM to delete or change it.
Does not require TDBS. $19.95
- INVISIBLE FILES REPORT. Some sysops use the /I flag on uploads. This
allows the sysop or co-sysops (see SUBOP MANAGEMENT program above)
to check uploaded files before releasing them. This is a better method
than having a seperate "new uploads" area, because you don't need to
figure out which file section to put it in and then move it - you simply
make it visible. The invisible files report reads a FAR file, and
reports on any files that are invisible. This makes it easy to check
your uploads and make them available to your users quickly. Does not
require TDBS. $19.95.
- THE INVISIBLE SYSOP. Do your work on the BBS without being bothered
by private messages, calls to come chat from your users. Yet don't
offend them by setting your ignore flag on. Be the invisible sysop!
But if you feel like being sociable, you have that choice too. Asks
you each time you sign on whether or not you want to be invisible.
$12.00.
- TIME BANK. The best way to give an UPLOAD TIME CREDIT TO YOUR USERS.
You set the ration, this automatically updates their online time.
Demo: TIMED.ZIP. Fido Magic name: TIMED. $29.95.
- TRYIT! This program is a "stuff you haven't tried on the board" program.
It can give uses the ability or optionally force them to try new
features on the board. $39.95.
- BOARDWATCH MAGAZINE READER. This program gives a very nice interface
for Boardwatch Magazine online. It has a loader program that loads
the Boardwatch text file in the database. The user can select which
issue to read, and then within issue he can select sections and articles.
Within an article, he can browse backwards and forwards. $99.95.
- GROCERY STORE DATABASE. This program lets your users maintain a list
of cork bulletin boards in grocery stores, laundry mats, etc in your
local area. This can be used to develop a ROUTE to advertise your
BBS! I have gotten a lot of new users this way. Your users can also
use it for advertising a landscaping business, typing or secretarial,
mechanic, handyman, etc. *FREE*
- USERNAME ANAGRAMS. In this game, you create anagrams of user id's,
and the users can try to guess them! You use the shareware program
NAMEGRAM to find really cool or disgusting anagrams out of user's
names, and then add them to the database. The user's can guess who
it really is. If they get it right, they get 21 points. If they miss,
the lose 3 points. Fun! $29.95.
- FOLLOW. Hackers? Annoying kiddies? Lots of lines and hard to follow
the baddies in the dayfile? Use FOLLOW:
FOLLOW nightstalker
Cost is $19.95 or $29.95 with PRTMSG.
- PRTMSG. Hackers? Illegal activity? Print out ALL messages, DELETED
OR NOT, for any caller, ie:
PRTMSG "big daddy"
This will print ALL messages, DELETED OR NOT, that are FROM or TO
"big daddy"! Very useful.
Cost is $19.95 or $29.95 in a package with FOLLOW.
- KILLBAG. Killbag is a very simple program that is used to strip out
unwanted newsgroups from .BAG files. You simply make a file with a list
of newsgroups that you DON'T want. You then run KILLBAG and it will strip
out your unwanted newsgroups. This program is part of the PCBmsg package
but is sold separately for $19.95.
- PASSBAG. Passbag is the opposite of KILLBAG, letting you PASS THROUGH
any DESIRED newsgroups from .BAG files. You give it a source and
destination directory. PASSBAG reads all the .BAG files in the
source directory, and passes the desired newsgroups through to .BAG
files in the destination directory. I use this to pass certain newsgroups
to PIMP (copyright Jack Rickard) for processing into the normal TBBS
message base. You could also use this to feed newsgroups to another
sysop. Passbag comes with KILLBAG and sells for $19.95.
- PASSPKT. Passpkt is the same as PASSBAG, but for .PKT files (fido).
I use this to pass certain echoes to TIMS for normal TBBS processing.
The rest of the 500 echoes go into my PCBmsg system. You could also
use this to feed packet files to other systems. Passpkt is part of
the PCBmsg package, but also sells separately for $19.95.
- KILLPKT. Killpkt is a very simple program that is used to strip out
unwanted newsgroups from .PKT files. You simply make a file with a list
of echoes that you DON'T want. You then run KILLPKT and it will strip
out your unwanted fido areas. This program is part of the PCBmsg package
but is sold separately for $19.95.
- MOVEIT. A very SIMPLE way to move your Planet Connect files from
one directory to another without moving duplicates. You just do a:
MOVEIT from_dir to_dir numdays
No need to read 50 pages of documentation just to accomplish this
simple function. $19.95. (Part of PCBmsg package).
- MANUFACT. An online manufacturers database. For manufacturers of
computer hardware and software - Manufacturer's name, phone number,
fax number, BBS number, address, etc. Search on product name,
manufacturer name, etc. $29.95.
